Pratexo
Pratexo helps businesses with complex electric infrastructure ensure their systems are always running at peak efficiency. As Senior Product Design Lead, I worked across hardware and software teams to design and launch four core products that brought the platform to market and helped them capture their first customers.
EV Charging Network Management
One of their core products focuses on EV charging infrastructure management. We designed intuitive interfaces for monitoring charger status, connector details, and network-wide performance analytics.
The platform provides detailed views of individual chargers and connectors, making it easy for operators to identify and resolve issues quickly.
Network operators can analyze power and storage efficiency across their entire charging infrastructure:
From Concept to Reality
The EV charging management interface evolved from my initial sketches that focused on clear information hierarchy and real-time status monitoring:

I refined these concepts into a polished UI that maintains the clarity of the original vision while adding sophisticated data visualization:

Along the way however, I went deep into design iterations – working intensely with the engineering team to establish requirements, iterate on the UI and ensure it was both functional, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with Pratexo’s customers needs.

Visual Asset Management
Another flagship product from Pratexo is focused on visualizing data from all assets within a company’s renewable energy infrastructure. I worked with the hardware team and software developers to develop a comprehensive dashboard for managing renewable energy assets, combining real-time data visualization with predictive maintenance capabilities.

The system integrates with physical infrastructure, allowing technicians to monitor and maintain hardware components efficiently. The technical team was building sensors into the hardware and surfacing data along the way as I designed the UI, tight team collaboration was essential and required a lot of tight iteration to get right.

Some of the main challenges we faced when designing the system were:
- Stay directly tied in to the hardware team’s work and willing to pivot when tech roadblocks were encountered
- Meeting the customers’ complex technical requirements, as many renewable energy companies have highly complex systems that require bulletproof security and are often not connected to the internet.
- Componentizing the UI for development speed amidst constantly shifting technical requirements and a tight timeline.

AI-Powered Predictive Maintenance
I led design on another innovative product in the core product suite focused on AI-powered predictive maintenance, helping operators prevent failures before they occur and optimize system performance.
I worked closely with the Pratexo CTO to leverage OpenAI’s LLM (trained on renewable systems in proprietary ways) to detect potential faults and provide recommended actions for maintenance teams based on input data.
No-code JSON editor
For non-technical personnel, we designed and built an intuitive JSON editor for easy file editing.
Product Market Fit & Traction
Pratexo has established itself as a leader in renewable energy infrastructure management, securing major contracts with billion-dollar partners, early customer traction, and validating the platform’s approach to complex system monitoring and optimization. To get there, we leveraged a tightly iterative process of fast releases to real customers.

With success comes exposure and a platform. Pratexo’s capabilities have been showcased at major industry events, with leadership presenting at Distributech International, Smart Innovation Norway, and beyond.
